BiteMetrics is run by [legal business name] ("we"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: support@bitemetrics.app.

What we collect

• Account details: your email address and a securely stored password.
• Shop data you enter: shop name, ingredients and what you pay, recipes, menu prices, add-ons and settings.
• Files you upload for import (spreadsheets, menu photos and PDFs). We use them to read your menu and don't keep the files afterwards.
• Payment details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
• Basic technical logs (like errors and request times) to keep the service running.

How we use it

To run BiteMetrics for you: work out costs and profits, send account emails (like password resets), take payments, and help when you contact us. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who helps us run the service

• Supabase: database and logins.
• Vercel: hosting the app.
• Resend: sending account emails.
• Anthropic: AI that reads menu photos and suggests prices, only when you ask it to. Menu content and prices you choose to send are processed to give you the result.
• Stripe: payments.
• Cloudflare: domain and email routing.

Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you logged in. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can see and change your shop data in the app at any time. To get a copy of your data or delete your account, email us and we'll do it within [30] days. We keep data only as long as your account is open, plus any period the law requires for payment records.

Security

Each shop's data is kept separate, connections are encrypted, and passwords are never stored in plain text. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong that affects your data, we'll tell you promptly.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email you before it takes effect.
